Inspiring Educator – Awards for Outstanding Contribution to Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) – Darton Primary School Teacher Shortlisted for Prestigious National Award

Lisa Bessell, Y3 Teacher and Forest School Co-ordinator at Darton Primary School, Barnsley has been shortlisted for the prestigious national award of Inspiring Educator by the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom, along with three others from across the UK.

Awards will be presented at the forthcoming National Learning Outside the Classroom Conference taking place on 19th November at the Castle Head Field Studies Council Centre in Cumbria.

Much excellent work is going on in schools and educational settings which encourages learning outside the classroom and in particular forest schools and outdoor woodland learning activities. A vote for Lisa will also provide fitting recognition for the good work going on in this field across all educational establishments in this area.
