Free Downloadable Resources from the Open Air Laboratories (OPAL) Network

The Open Air Laboratories (OPAL) network is an exciting initiative that is open to anyone with an interest in nature.

OPAL is developing a wide range of local and national programmes to encourage people from all backgrounds to get back in touch with nature. The project generates valuable scientific data concerning the state of our environment.

Opal also provides a range of useful downloadable resources which are available from their web site. Here’s an example of a pocket guide to common invertebrates and here’s a simple field-guide to common trees.
