Information now available about two courses running at the Development Education Centre South Yorkshire (DECSY) on global school linking: Global School Partnerships Course; GSP Teacher Taster Sessions; and one on teaching about fair trade: Fair Trade Course; which may be of interest to you or colleagues.
The first school linking course is a twilight taster course on Monday 24 January from 4.30-6pm, and the second is a full day on Friday 11 February. The Fair trade course is on 31 January from 2.30 to 4.45pm.
All three courses are completely free of charge and will be held at Scotia Works on Leadmill Road in Sheffield: www.decsy.org.uk/howtofindus.asp.
DECSY has some funding available to help with up to 50% of supply cover costs for a teacher wishing to attend the full day course, which they are offering to a limited number of schools that are interested in taking up their Carbon Partners project www.carbonpartners.org.uk. If your school is interested in taking part in this project, please get in touch with Emily Clark firstname.lastname@example.org.
